Punjab Deputy Chief Minster Sukhbir Singh Badal termed the population of the country as its biggest asset while inaugurating a conference titled ‘Making Punjab the skill capital of the world’, organised by the International Punjabi Chamber for Service Industries (IPCSI) in collaboration with the Institute of Technology and Future Management Trends (ITFT) on Saturday.
Badal said that with Punjab emerging as the main centre to train and export skilled human resource to the world, the time has come for NRIs to exploit
this opportunity by investing in the state.
“Punjab is investing heavily in developing human resource according to changing needs of the industry,” he said, adding that institutes like Indian Institute of Technology, Indian School of Business and central universities are being set up in the state.
Asking NRIs to invest in renewable energy ventures, the Deputy CM added that Punjab was committed to providing power for the industry, single window clearance of all ventures besides ensuring world-class road and air connectivity.
