World Cup 2010: Jeremy Brockie: Broken Leg Won't End My All White World Cup Dream

North Queensland Fury player Jeremy Brockie says the broken leg he suffered against the Brisbane Roar won't end his World Cup dream.

Brockie was grounded in the second minutes by a late challenge from Brisbane’s Michael Zullo, who was booked by referee Gerard Parsons for the infringement, and had to be stretchered from the field.

The All Whites hopeful said he hadn’t given up of being fit for selection in New Zealand’s squad to travel to South Africa..

“I’m still a chance of the World Cup Squad,” Brockie said. “I’ve been told it could be somewhere between eight and 10 weeks after surgery and a rehab program with the Fury’s physio Paul Parker and Sports Scientist Alan McCall.”

“It’s been a tough season for me with injury, but that’s the nature of the sport sometimes – it can happen to anyone, anytime."
