'Liberal privilege': Donald Trump Jr. criticizes Bruce Springsteen DWI charge dismissal

Blame it on “liberal privilege.”

Donald Trump Jr. blasted the dismissal of driving while intoxicated and reckless driving charges against Bruce Springsteen in federal court on Wednesday, Feb. 24.

Springsteen pleaded guilty to consuming alcohol in a federal park and was fined $500 plus $40. The Boss was arrested at Sandy Hook, part of the Gateway National Recreation Center, on Nov. 14, 2020.

“I'd say it’s #WhitePrivilege but we all know it’s really #LiberalPrivilege,” tweeted Trump Jr. on Thursday with a link to a New York Post article on the case.

Former French President Nicolas Sarkozy sentenced to jail in historic ruling

Paris (CNN)A French court on Monday sentenced former President Nicolas Sarkozy to three years in prison for corruption and influence peddling, but suspended two years of the sentence.

President from 2007 to 2012, he was found guilty of trying to illegally obtain information from a senior magistrate in 2014 about an ongoing investigation into his campaign finances.

The judge said Sarkozy did not need to serve time in jail. He could serve the sentence by wearing an electronic bracelet at home.

NYC to pay $1.65 million to family of slain Rikers Island inmate

The city will pay $1.65 million to the family of a Rikers Island inmate strangled by a cellmate, the family’s lawyer told the Daily News. Casey Holloway’s family agreed to settle their lawsuit with the city last month, more than two years

Harlem mom fatally shot after confronting man who groped her on street

A Harlem mom was fatally shot after she and her fiance confronted a man who had just groped her on the street, police said Monday as they pressed their search for the gunman. Shadina Smith left her apartment on W. 150th St. near Frederick Douglass Blvd.

Four unknown American detained in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: Four foreigners have been detained by the police in Peshawar. The were detained near Gora Qabiristan. The nationalities of the foreigners has not been verified, but reports suggest that they are US nationals.
