Andie MacDowell

Rosalie Anderson "Andie" MacDowell, born April 21, 1958 is an American model and actress. She has received the Golden Camera and an Honorary César.

Early life
Andie MacDowell was born in Gaffney, South Carolina, the daughter of Pauline "Paula" Johnston (née Oswald), a music teacher, and Marion St. Pierre MacDowell, a lumber executive. She is of part Scottish descent. Her family owned an Antebellum period summer house in Arden, North Carolina, which has since been made into a bed-and-breakfast named the Blake House Inn. Graffiti from her childhood visits is preserved in an upstairs bedroom closet. She attended Winthrop College for two years before moving briefly to Columbia, South Carolina. There she worked two jobs; one in a clothing boutique and the other in a restaurant/bar called "Stage Door". "Rosie," as she was known locally, lived with her sister, Beverly, and saved all her money so she could move to New Yokrk City and start her career.says who? She was initially spotted by a rep from Wilhelmina Models while on a trip to Los Angeles before she would later sign with Elite Model Management in New York City.

Career
In the early 1980s, MacDowell modeled for Vogue magazine and appeared in ad campaigns for Yves Saint Laurent, Vassarette, Armani perfume, Sabeth-Row, Mink International, Anne Klein and Bill Blass. She worked with such esteemed photographers as Bruce Weber, Richard Avedon, Helmut Newton, Irving Penn and Herb Ritts among others. A series of billboards in Time Square and national television commercials for Calvin Klein drew attention to her and led to her 1984 film debut in Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes, a role in which her lines were recorded by Glenn Close because her southern accent was too pronounced for her to play the role of an Englishwoman. In 1985, she had a small part in St. Elmo's Fire.
MacDowell studied method acting with teachers from the Actors Studio, in addition to working privately with the renowned coach Harold Guskin.[citation needed] Four years later, director Steven Soderbergh cast her in the independent film Sex, Lies, and Videotape (1989). Her performance earned her an Independent Spirit Award, a Los Angeles Film Critics Association Award for Best Actress, several other award nominations and led to a series of starring roles in films such as Green Card, The Object of Beauty, and Short Cuts.

Personal life
MacDowell was married from 1986 to 1999 to fellow former model and rancher Paul Qualley, whom she met while both were posing for Gap ads. The couple have a son, Justin, and two daughters, Rainey and Sarah Margaret. She was married to businessman Rhett Hartzog from 2001 to 2004.

Monte Carlo,' co-starring Andie MacDowell

But today's teenyboppers have just as much pull as the idols of yesterday. The gauzy "Monte Carlo" stars not our most regal cinema heroes, but the young TV upstarts Selena Gomez (Disney Channel star, pop singer and Justin Bieber girlfriend), Katie Cassidy ("Melrose Place") and Leighton Meester ("Gossip Girl").

The 18-year-old Grace (Gomez) has just graduated high school in a small Texas town. She has long dreamed of visiting Paris, saving up tips from waitressing alongside her friend, the brassy 21-year-old high school dropout Emma (Cassidy).

Grace's mother (Andie MacDowell, in the briefest of roles) and her stepfather (Brett Cullen) are happy to let her and Emma go for a week, so long as they take Grace's new stepsister, the 21-year-old Meg (Meester). This upsets Emma because she sees Meg as a nervous wet blanket, and Grace for having a family holiday forced on her long-held dream.

In Paris, their trip sours, not because of the usual culprits (rude Parisians, discombobulating rotaries, too much foie gras) but a hyper-speed tour bus that blitzes through tourist sites and eventually leaves them behind. This (along with sudden rain) is enough to make the trip a disaster in the eyes of Grace.

Steven Tyler

Steven Tyler, born Steven Victor Tallarico on March 26, 1948 is an American singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, and the frontman and lead singer of the Boston-based rock band Aerosmith, in which he also plays the harmonica, and occasional piano and percussion. He is also known as the "Demon of Screamin' and is equally known for his on-stage acrobatics. During his high-energy performances, he usually dresses in bright, colorful outfits with his trademark scarves hanging from his microphone stand. In the 1970s, Tyler rose to prominence as the frontman of Aerosmith, which released such milestone hard rock albums as Toys in the Attic and Rocks. In the late 1970s and early 1980s, Tyler had a heavy drug and alcohol addiction, and the band's popularity waned.

He completed drug rehabilitation in 1986 and has subsequently maintained sobriety for over 20 years, aside from an addiction to prescription painkillers in the late 2000s, for which he successfully received treatment in 2009. After Aerosmith launched a remarkable comeback in the late 1980s and early 1990s with the albums Permanent Vacation, Pump, and Get a Grip, Tyler became a household name and has remained a relevant rock icon. As a result, he has since embarked on several solo endeavors including guest appearances on other artists' music as well as film and TV roles (including as a judge on American Idol). However, he has continued to record music and perform with Aerosmith, after more than 41 years in the band. He is included among Rolling Stone's 100 Greatest Singers. He was also ranked 3rd on Hit Parader's Top 100 Metal Vocalists of All Time. In 2001 he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with Aerosmith, and he was the presenter when AC/DC was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2003.

Steven Victor Tallarico was born March 26, 1948 in Yonkers, New York, the son of Susan (née Blancha), a secretary, and Victor A. Tallarico, a classical musician and pianist. His father was of Italian and German descent and his mother was of Polish, Russian and English ancestry (his maternal grandfather had changed his surname from "Czarnyszewicz" to "Blancha"). Tyler has stated that he grew up "under his father's piano", and that from what his father played, he got "that emotional thing" that he has with music. When he was sixteen, he formed his first band, called The Strangeurs, later changed to Chain Reaction, where he was the drummer, and later the lead singer. Tyler also had been part of a few local bands, like William Proud and The Left Banke. He was expelled from Roosevelt High School in Yonkers due to his drug use. He graduated from the Leonard Quintano for Young Professionals School in 1967. He attended Woodstock with Joe Perry and Joey Kramer, his future Aerosmith bandmates.

In 1975, Tyler convinced the parents of 14 year old groupie Julia Holcomb (sometimes spelled Holcolm) to sign over guardianship to him so that he could live with her in Boston. They dated and did drugs together for three years. Holcomb was referred to as "Diana Hall" by the editor of the Aerosmith autobiography Walk This Way in an attempt to conceal her identity, but other sources have confirmed her identity. Pressures leading to their split included both their age difference (Tyler was 27 when they first met), a house fire, and a pregnancy that resulted in an abortion. Band member Ray Tabano wrote in Walk This Way that the abortion "really messed Steven up" because the child was a boy. Tyler wrote, "It was a big crisis. It's a major thing when you're growing something with a woman, but they convinced us that it would never work out and would ruin our lives...You go to the doctor and they put the needle in her belly and they squeeze the stuff in and you watch. And it comes out dead. I was pretty devastated. In my mind, I'm going, Jesus, what have I done?

After returning Holcomb to her parents, Tyler had a brief relationship with fashion model Bebe Buell, during which he fathered actress Liv Tyler (Buell initially claimed that the father was Todd Rundgren to protect her daughter from Tyler's drug addiction).

In 1978, he married Cyrinda Foxe, an ex-Warhol model, and the former wife of New York Dolls' lead singer David Johansen, and fathered model Mia Tyler. He and Foxe divorced in 1987; in 1997, she published Dream On: Livin' on the Edge With Steven Tyler and Aerosmith, a memoir of her life with Tyler. Cyrinda Foxe died from brain cancer in 2002.

Tyler has one grandson, Milo William Langdon (born December 14, 2004, in New York City), from daughter Liv's marriage to British musician Royston Langdon.
On May 28, 1988, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Tyler married clothing designer Teresa Barrick. In February 2005, the couple announced that they were separating due to personal problems. In January 2006 the divorce was official. With Barrick, he fathered a daughter, Chelsea Anna Tallarico (March 6, 1989), and a son, Taj Monroe Tallarico (January 31, 1992).
Tyler currently has a relationship with Erin Brady, since 2006. Tyler resides in Marshfield, Massachusetts and also maintains a residence in the Los Angeles area.

On March 22, 2006, the Washington Post reported that Tyler would undergo surgery for an "undisclosed medical condition". A statement from Tyler's publicist read in part, "Despite Aerosmith's desire to keep the tour going as long as possible, Tyler's doctors advised him not to continue performing to give his voice time to recover." Aerosmith's remaining North American tour dates in 2006 on the Rockin' the Joint Tour were subsequently canceled.

The surgery, to correct a popped blood vessel in his throat, was a success. In the words of Tyler: "He just took a laser and zapped the blood vessel. After a few weeks of rest, Tyler and the rest of Aerosmith entered the studio on May 20, 2006 to begin work on their new album.
On July 3–4, 2006, Tyler and Joe Perry performed at the Boston Waterfront with the Boston Pops Orchestra and sang the songs "Dream On", "Walk This Way", and "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing" as part of the Boston July 4 Fireworks Spectacular. The concert was notable as Tyler's first public performance since the surgery. A tour launched later in fall 2006 with Mötley Crüe, titled the Route of All Evil Tour.
In 2010 he got the honor of shaking Dan Steiner's hand
Steven Tyler's throat surgery was featured in 2007 on an episode of the National Geographic Channel series, Incredible Human Machine.

Hepatitis C
In a September 2006 interview with Access Hollywood, Steven Tyler revealed that he had been suffering from Hepatitis C for the past 11 years. He was diagnosed with the disease in 2003 and had undergone extensive treatment from 2003–2006, including 11 months of interferon therapy, which he said was "agony".

Tyler treats partygoers to performance

Rocker Steven Tyler delighted partygoers at a magazine bash in Boston, Massachusetts on Thursday when he took to the stage for an impromptu performance.

The charismatic Aerosmith frontman was the guest of honour at the House of Blues event, celebrating his cover for local publication Boston Common, and he made a grand entrance on a lime-green motorcycle.

But Tyler decided to treat attendees to a special surprise and later jumped onstage unannounced to belt out a series of Aerosmith tracks, including a duet with blues harmonica player James Montgomery on his band's hit, Walking the Dog.

Pippa Middleton

Philippa Charlotte "Pippa" Middleton, born 6 September 1983 is an English party planner, socialite and sister of Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge. On 29 April 2011, she was the maid of honour at her sister's wedding to Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, second in the line of succession to Queen Elizabeth II.

Early life
Middleton was born in 1983, the second of the three children of Michael Middleton, who was then a British Airways flight dispatcher, and his wife Carole (née Goldsmith), who was a former flight attendant. Her father's family came from Leeds, now in West Yorkshire, and one of her great-grandmothers, called Olivia Lupton, belonged to a business family active in Leeds for many generations. Carole Middleton's mother's family were labourers and miners from County Durham. The third child of the family is James Middleton (born 1987), who is now a businessman.
In the mid 1980s, when her two eldest children were at a Nursery school and the family was living at Bradfield Southend, Middleton's mother set up 'Party Pieces', a company which began by making party bags and went on to sell party supplies and decorations by mail order. By 1995 the firm, run by both parents, was so successful that it moved into a range of farm buildings at Ashampstead Common, and since then the Middleton parents are reported to have become millionaires.
In 1995, the Middletons moved to Bucklebury, Berkshire. Like her sister, Middleton was first educated at St Andrew's School, Pangbourne, then at Downe House, a girls' boarding school in Cold Ash, and finally at Marlborough College, Wiltshire, which she attended on a sports/all-rounder scholarship. She then followed her sister to higher education in Scotland, attending the University of Edinburgh to study English literature. There she shared a house with Lord Edward Innes-Ker, a son of the Duke of Roxburghe, and with Earl Percy, heir of the Duke of Northumberland.

Adult life
Following graduation, in 2008 Middleton worked for a short time for a public relations firm promoting luxury products, then she took on an events management job with Table Talk, a company based in London which organises corporate events and parties. Also in 2008, Tatler magazine named Middleton "the Number 1 Society Singleton", beating singer-songwriter James Blunt and Princess Eugenie. Since then, she has often been described as a socialite. As part of a duo with her older sister, Middleton has received wide press coverage, focusing on her social life and her lifestyle.

Royal wedding
The official announcement of her sister's engagement came on 16 November 2010. After being widely expected, Pippa's appointment as maid of honour was confirmed on 14 February 2011. At the wedding, Middleton's white figure-hugging dress, which like the bride's was created by Sarah Burton, was highly praised in the media. Made of ivory crape fabric, it was styled with a cowl at the front and organza-covered buttons at the back.

Pippa Middleton reprises see-through dress and date at Wimbledon

Pippa Middleton, the younger sister of the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton, became a Wimbledon favourite after her numerous appearances at the tennis competition this year. While her sister is touring Canada with husband Prince William, the 27-year-old wowed crowds in London with her well-received outfit choices, reports the UK's Daily Mirror.
The events-planner hit the headlines after appearing at the semi-final clash between Novak Djokovic and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, with her ex-boyfriend Alex Loudon. The pair were joined by Middleton's mother and father Carole and Michael, fuelling speculation she and the former cricket player had reignited their romance. However, the 27-year-old returned to centre court on Saturday (2nd July 2011) with her reported ex-boyfriend George Percy. The pair were also spotted together during recent trips to Madrid and the Queen's Club tennis competition. Wearing a see-through black crochet dress, Pippa became the talk of the day's play once again. She is said to have taken a job with Percy's geothermal energy firm, helping to lobby for government licenses which would allow George's company to drill underground for hot water.

Middleton, 27, wore a daring Tania knit dress at Wimbledon that showed off the fashion icon's undergarments (See a photo here). She wore the same dress in white to the AEGON tennis tournament on June 10, which she also attended with Percy.

Middleton, who was formerly working as a party planner has also taken a job with Percy's geothermal energy firm. She will now help lobby for government licenses which would allow the Percy's company to drill underground for hot water which would be converted into heat and electricity. Pippa also works part-time at her parents' party planning company Table Talk and writes an online magazine for their online party supply website, Party Pieces.

According to People magazine, Middleton recently split up with former England cricketer Alex Loudon, who accompanied her to the Royal Wedding. However, the pair was spotted at a different Wimbledon match earlier this week.

Middleton's sister Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge and brother-in-law Prince William are on an official tour of Canada. See photos of their visit.

Pippa's appearance at the Royal wedding in a gorgeous Alexander McQueen gown has sparked interest and earned her the unofficial title of "Her Royal Hotness" and a website dedicated to her derriere.

Lindsay Lohan celebrates 25th birthday

Lindsay Lohan celebrated her 25th birthday on Saturday, just three days after being released from house arrest, which she served for 35 days for violating her probation.

Following her release, Lohan attended a friend's going away dinner at the Lexington Social House in Hollywood, where she was hounded by photographers and nearly fell. The actress took to Twitter to defend her near-fall, posting a photo of her platform shoes, which she blamed along with the "psychotic paparazzi."

"Of course me going to my best friends going away dinner is a headline, especially on my first day out of my house in 35 days," Lohan wrote on Twitter. " That does not give anyone the right to have a field day and manifest stories. IT WAS A GOING AWAY DINNER THAT WAS IT. Nothing exciting happened aside from the very yummy hummus and pita. If anyone caused me to nearly fall it was the psychotic paparazzi."

Lohan was photographed with friends, including actor Emile Hirsch and "Kick-Ass" actress Lyndsy Fonseca.

The actress is expected to celebrate her birthday with friends, including her ex-girlfriend Samantha Ronson in the Hamptons, New York, according to the Daily Mail.

In April, a judge had sentenced Lohan to jail after she pleaded guilty to theft in a missing $2,500 necklace case. It was determined that the charge constituted a violation of the actress' probation regarding a 2007 drunk driving and cocaine possession case.

Michael added that he planned to gift his daughter with a vacation to Costa Rica so that she could escape the scrutiny surrounding her.

Lohan completed a 35-day house arrest sentence last week, handed down after her no contest plea in relation to the alleged theft of a necklace from a Venice Beach jewellery boutique earlier this year.

She marked her first night of freedom by attending a party for a friend in Hollywood, but later took to her Twitter account to slam media reports about the evening, which saw her tripping as she left the restaurant.

"Of course me going to my best friends going away dinner is a headline - especially on my first day out of my house in 35 days," she wrote. "That does not give anyone the right to have a field day and manifest stories. IT WAS A GOING AWAY DINNER, THAT WAS IT. Nothing exciting happened aside from the very yummy hummus and pita."

She added: "If anyone caused me to nearly fall it was the psychotic paparazzi.... off to the gym now - have a lovely day xo.
